Flight training company 2FLY Airborne has partnered with US airline Avelo Airlines on the airline’s Preferred Hiring Pathway.
2FLY graduate pilots and flight instructors who have achieved their 1,500 hour requirements are offered an interview for a Boeing 737 First Officer position with the airline.
“We’re very excited to announce this new hiring partnership with Avelo,” said Adam Brumbaugh, Vice President of 2FLY Airborne.
“This is a huge step in the right direction for pilots who meet the hour requirements to have the chance to interview with Avelo. In addition to helping our graduates take a huge step forward in their career, we also are happy to add Avelo to our partner portfolio and we hope to become a pipeline of talent for their growing airline.”
Avelo’s Head of Flight Operations Scott Hall said, “Avelo is excited to partner with 2FLY Airborne and the new Preferred Hiring Pathway to help jumpstart the career of future pilots. The training and education received at 2FLY aligns with Avelo’s standards and we’re eager to invite their graduates to the flight deck.”
The 2FLY First Officer Career Programme is an accelerated eight month program, taking an individual with zero experience through a course to achieve multi-engine commercial pilot and flight instructor certificates. Graduates gain additional experience as a paid 2FLY flight instructor and now, at 1,500 hours of flight time, earn the opportunity to interview as a First Officer with Avelo Airlines.
