Two sponsored places are available on a training course for commercial drone pilots from The Air League.
The sponsorships are being provided by drone trainers Eagle Eye Innovations and RUSTA on their Permission for Commercial Operations (PfCO) Drone Training Courses.
On completion of the training and subsequent project work, the recipients will gain an NVQ Level 4 as well as the capability to operate drones professionally upon successful registration with the CAA.
The outcome of this scholarship can be life-changing as was proven by last year’s success stories.
Jemma, one of the winners of the scholarship has gone onto secure employment with a multi-national company in their drone delivery service operation and Harry has established his own company.
RUSTA and Eagle Eye Innovations are linked. Established in 2014, RUSTA is one of the longest running CAA Accredited National Qualified Entities (NQE) in the United Kingdom.
RUSTA has trained over 2,000 operators from many varied industries across the world. All of RUSTA’s instructors and management come from such organisations as the Royal Air Force, Army Air Corps and Policing and Civil Aviation.
The Air League will be holding an assessment day on 24August 2020 at RUSTA HQ in Lincolnshire. The assessment will be outside and you will have a chance to fly a drone as part of this.
“We are not looking for experienced operators, rather a natural talent, enthusiasm and motivation,” said a spokesperson. “The residential course itself will take place in September 2020 and will involve a 3-day stay in Lincolnshire with further course work to be undertaken from home.”
Applications for the sponsorships open on 20 July 2020. Candidates will need to be a member of the Air League.
