Following the announcement at Pilot Careers Live London in early November, that British Airways will hire at least 330 new Direct Entry pilots in 2016, the carrier has announced a series of pilot recruitment roadshows around the UK.
British Airways Manager Pilot Recruitment, Lindsay Craig, explained, “We are continually introducing new aircraft including the Airbus A380 and Boeing 787. We are actively recruiting now and for 2016 we envisage over 350 pilots joining the fraternity, with over half of these vacancies requiring direct entry onto our longhaul fleets.”
“The roadshows are designed for the team to meet experienced pilots who are interested in finding out more about what BA has to offer in a relaxed and informal setting.” Lindsay continued. “The events will be run by the BA pilot recruitment team, and a small team of line pilots will meet you and to talk about life as a pilot with BA.”
The presentations are aimed at experienced pilots including those who hold type ratings on any of the aircraft BA currently operates or has on order.
Lindsay added, “At this time, the airline is not seeking attendees who are low-hour or trainee pilots, but if you fall into one of these categories we’d be delighted to meet you at one of the other events we support including Pilot Careers Live, formerly the Flyer Professional Flight Training Exhibition.”
There will be a rolling ‘drop in’ opportunity available throughout the day to suit your available time. From 08:00 – 20:00 a team will be on hand to talk to you face to face. There are planned presentations at 10:00 and 18:00 with a 2 hours lunchtime drop in session for general questions. BA asks that you book for the session you wish to attend so that there are sufficient people on hand.
The first of these days will take place on Monday 30 November. Find out more and book your place here.
