The British Women Pilots’ Association (BWPA) has launched 12 bursaries for two hours of simulator training for pilots in need of continuity training.
“We are pleased to announce special BWPA Motion Flight Simulator Bursaries, which will be available to BWPA members affected by COVID-19, whether they be redundant, furloughed or a newly trained CPL/fATPL needing to keep their skills fresh,” said Sharon Nicholson, BWPA chairwoman.
“These will be awarded to the applicants who, in the opinion of the selection panel, show the most need for assistance in their continuity training.”
The selection panel will comprise of representatives from the BWPA and Motion Flight, the Gatwick-based company operating the fixed-base simulator.
All applicants must be members (either full or associate) of the BWPA at the time of application and when winners are announced (currently anticipated by early November). Details of the bursary, and the application form, can be found here. Applications close 19 October 2020.
In addition, the BWPA has various discounted offers to BWPA members for simulator training from Motion Flight, SimAir737, VA Airline Training and Virtual Aerospace. Details here.
