Spain’s Centre for Higher Aviation Studies (CESDA) is to train up to 20 cadet pilots a year for Vueling Airlines at its base in Barcelona.
The training consists of the completion of the ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot Licence) course and will be carried out over a period of 24 months, followed by an eight-week type rating for the A320.
The course is aimed at young people over 21 years old, preferably study for a technical university degree, and will start in the first semester of 2019.

Vueling is a low-cost carrier and part of IAG group. The airline has 130 short and medium radio destinations in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, which are operated with a fleet consisting of 112 aircraft of the Airbus A319, A320 and A321 models.
