Cockpit4u and Flightsimtech have signed an agreement for the delivery of an A320 Fixed Base Simulator.
The device will be delivered in the first quarter of 2017 and will be installed in the Cockpit4u training centre at Berlin-Schoenefeld (SXF). It will be used for various A320 pilot training activities including parts of the type rating training. The simulator was selected after an extensive evaluation phase.
“We are delighted to partner with Flightsimtech for the acquisition of this brand new A320 fixed-base training device. With changing flight deck environments, the training concepts and equipment must be updated to take advantage of more modern technology. This training device completes our fleet consisting of a Flight Training Device (MFTD) Airbus A320/330 and Boeing B737-800 FBT, also from Flightsimtech. It will enable us to meet the highest standards of training effectiveness and flight safety”, says Dennis Pilz, Managing Director of Cockpit4u. The simulator is an exact replica of the A320 flight deck. It looks like a full flight simulator without the motion.
Flightsimtech’s Managing Director, Klemens Klei, said, “We are extremely happy to partner with Cockpit4u. After the delivery of the B737-800 FBT in 2014 we are pleased that the training provider has chosen our expertise and integration quality for a A320 Fixed Base Simulator to continue with state-of-the art training.”
Cockpit4U will be exhibiting at Pilot Careers Live Berlin, which takes place on 1 October at the Maritim ProArte Hotel, Berlin. Tickets available at pilotcareernews.com/live/berlin/
