Helicentre Aviation has completed its first CPL(H) course on the Cabri G2. Captain Robert Foster passed his CPL(H) skill test on Monday and will shortly start working for the company as commercial helicopter pilot.
The Cabri G2, which joined the fleet last September has been a great success according to Helicentre, flying over 600 hours despite the winter’s bad weather. The company have five rated Cabri G2 instructors, three flight examiners, and more than 20 student pilots and hour builders who are currently training or have qualified on the Cabri since September. Helicentre Aviation’s second Cabri will be arriving from the factory in the next few weeks, with another on order for next January. Both will be painted in Helicentre Aviation livery.
“The Cabri G2 has proven to be an excellent and reliable platform for both private and professional training” says Chairman Captain Chris Line. “We intend to place an order for our fourth Cabri at Helitech this September, and our intention is to have six Cabri G2s on the training academy fleet by 2015”.
Helicentre Aviation will have one of their Cabri G2 helicopters on display at Helitech at London’s ExCeL on 24th-26th September in partnership with Cotswold Helicopter Centre, the UK Cabri distributor.
