Up to 500 cadet pilots a year could be trained at a new facility opened in Portugal by L3 Commercial Training Solutions (L3 CTS).
The L3 European Airline Academy facility, based at Ponte de Sor Airport, Portugal, has been established following L3’s acquisition of the G Air Training Centre in October 2017.
The new location will be fully integrated with L3 CTS’s current Airline Academy operations in the UK, US and New Zealand. More than 1,000 cadet pilots started training with L3 CTS in 2017.
“The launch of the L3 European Airline Academy in Portugal expands L3 CTS’s international footprint and increases our capacity to support the growing global demand for highly skilled, qualified commercial pilots,” said Robin Glover-Faure, President of L3 CTS.
