L3 Harris Commercial Aviation is offering an Examiner Refresher Course (ERC) to support examiners from a commercial air transport environment to revalidate their examiner certificate as per EASA Part-FCL.1025
L3Harris is approved by the UK CAA to deliver the Examiner Refresher Course (ERC) mandated by EASA Part FCL. Examiners from a different regulatory background, can discuss your needs with the L3Harris team.
The ERC is a one-day course held at the London Training Centre near Gatwick. Examiners are required to attend the full course and provide their Authority evidence of attendance as part of their revalidation or renewal process.
Course content:
- The L3 Harris Examiner Refresher Course commences with a review of UK Civil Aviation legislation from the formation of ICAO to the present. It covers basic regulation, and the relevant parts of the seven annexes to the following commission of regulations 1178/2011 as amended by 290/2012
- After this short review, the course highlights the changes resulting from the legislation and how they affect the ‘examiner’. Candidates will be familiarised with the layout of the aircrew legislation annex (i): Part FCL, subparts H, J and K and the relevant parts of annex (vi) ARA, with practical examples to help clarify understanding
- Administration procedures with the new paperwork and relevant CAA Information Notices (IN) are also covered, as are changes in retention of records and the implications of the UK Data Protection Act
- Changes to revalidation and renewal procedures are also covered.
The course costs £330 + VAT per candidate.
