Did you know that Diamond Aircraft not only manufactures aircraft – it also makes and supplies its own flight simulators to train pilots.
One of the latest customers for a Diamond Aircraft simulator is Leading Edge Aviation Ltd (LEAL) based at London Oxford Airport.
LEAL has added another DA42 simulator, manufactured and installed by Diamond adding to the company’s growing fleet of Diamond Aircraft and existing DA42 and A320 simulators.
The device forms an important part of the multi-engine phase of training and is based at LEAL’s dedicated sim centre, Hangar 18, next door to the Oxford Airport base.
Dave Alexander, CEO of LEAL, said, “As Leading Edge Aviation grows, we want to continue to offer our student pilots the most advanced training possible.
“The DA42 simulator from Diamond will enable us to support our students not only with the best technology, but also in a timely manner.
“As we continue to expand, it’s important that we also increase our training capacity.
“The simulator compliments our growing fleet of Diamond aircraft, ensuring continuity of training for our students as they begin training on the single-engine DA40 before moving to the multi-engine DA42 aircraft and simulator, all using the Garmin G1000 NXi integrated flight deck.”
LEAL has also expanded its aircraft fleet and now operates no fewer than nine Diamond DA40 singles, four DA42 twins… and a Slingsby T67 Firefly.
Diamond Aircraft’s flight simulators are exact replicas of the real Diamond aircraft, built with authentic aircraft parts, with real avionics (Garmin G1000 NXi), high-end visuals and perform just like the real aircraft.
