Leading Edge Aviation has launched a Spring bursary fund of £150,000, offering future students the opportunity to save £5,000 each from their training fees. The fund is aimed at students looking to begin their journey to the flight deck.
The money applies to all students beginning a ‘LEAP’ (Leading Edge Airline Preparation) integrated pilot training course. No selection criteria will be applied to that on top of what students already undertake to be offered a place on the course.
The bursary can be used in addition to a student loan(subject to eligibility) as the course includes a BSc in Airline Transport Management with Airline Pilot Training.
Chief Talent Officer Katie Broadhurst said, “The bursary fund demonstrates our desire to see young people access what has historically been a difficult industry to enter. We wanted to present a scheme that helps as many students as possible at a time when we are all recovering from the impact of the pandemic. Our mission is to provide accessible, inspirational and innovative aviation training.”
