Virtual Aviation (VA) has placed an order with Multi Pilot Simulations (MPS) for a new B737-800 fixed based simulator, which will be installed later this year at the company’s base at Cambridge Airport.
The agreement also includes an option to buy a new Airbus A320 FTD1 simulator from MPS, for delivery in the first half of 2018. The new equipment will enable VA to significantly increase its training capabilities as well as its simulator capacity.
VA says it will offer cost-effective Type Rating training and dry hire to its airline customers and training partners, as well as meeting the growing demand for its MCC/JOC training,
James Stevenson, VA chief executive, “Expanding our fleet with brand-new simulators from MPS is an important first step in our ambitious growth plans. We decided on MPS after thoroughly researching the market, and are very excited to be joining the growing number of ATOs and airlines who are recognising the quality and uniqueness of the MPS product.”
