A new training provider, Contrail Aviation, has sprung up at Shropshire’s Sleap airfield.
Contrail Aviation states they will be offering Multi-engine Piston (MEP), Instrument rating (IR), and Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) training. The company will be operating from Sleap but information online also suggests that it will be making use of Hawarden, presumably to fulfill instrument approach requirements for its training courses.
The company is also advertising for flying instructors who are CPL, MEP and IR qualified. Social media posts show its fleet as containing Cessna 152s, Piper Archers, Piper Arrows, and a Diamond DA-42 aircraft. The company claims that it offers the ‘most affordable DA-42 on the UK rental market’, at £435 per hour, including circuits and landings at Sleap.
Their website is still under construction, but other social media posts show successful skills test passes for numerous students.
