L3Harris’ European Training Academy at Ponte de Sor, Portugal
Ready to start training for an ATPL in September? L3Harris has an offer worth considering: €78,000 for the EASA Integrated ATPL course, including free accommodation during ground school and what the flight school calls its ‘L3Harris Pilot Ready Promise’.
The training will be at L3Harris’ European Airline Academy in Ponte de Sor, Portugal, and graduates will end up with an EASA ATPL which allows you to fly for airlines registered in the European Union.
The September 2021 offer includes:
- Free accommodation during ground school for nine months on campus, valued at €3,000. This offer is based on shared accommodation (two persons). An upgrade to a single room is an additional €3,000.
- L3Harris Pilot Ready Promise. On successful completion of ATPL training, L3Harris will keep your licence valid by revalidating your Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (ME IR) and Single-Engine Piston (SEP) rating FREE of charge for up to two years after you graduate – or until you find employment with an airline (whichever comes first). This has a value of up to €2,700.
The Integrated ATPL programme takes approx. 18-24 months to complete. The flying part will include flying Piper Archer PA28s with glass cockpits and Garmin G1000 instrumentation.
