Ryanair has announced an offer for a discounted or free Boeing 737 Type Rating training for trainee pilots who complete either a 2 or 3 year posting in Ryanair’s Operations Control Centre in Dublin.
“This is a unique opportunity for candidates to gain invaluable experience in understanding Ryanair’s Flight Operations department and its development during a period of immense growth,” said a Ryanair statement.
“With this programme you will gain first-hand experience of working across all parts of our Operations Control Centre and will be part of a strong team delivering industry leading performance and punctuality. This OCC experience will give future pilots, outstanding experience of airline operations and in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of operations control which will be of huge value in their future pilot careers.”
After the posting (and a successful completion of assessment including simulator,) candidates will be offered the opportunity to join the AFA/Ryanair B737 Type Rating programme at a reduced rate of either €5k (2 year posting in the OCC) or Free (3 year posting in the OCC), instead of the current €30k.
