Six prized places are available for the latest intake of student pilots for BA CityFlyer’s latest Multi-Crew Pilot Licence (MPL) programme. It will be run with FTEJerez with training beginning in November 2017. The deadline for applications is 18 June 2017.
“This partnership will result in well-motivated, highly trained graduates to fly our modern fleet of Embraer Aircraft,” said Captain Steve Cook, BA CityFlyer Head of Flight Operations.
“This Mentored Scheme has been developed with our training partner, FTEJerez, to provide a source of quality preselected pilots to crew our Embraer aircraft,” continued Caoptain Cook.
“You will undertake training under the Multi-crew Pilots Licence (MPL) route to the right-hand seat of our aircraft. This course has been specifically designed to teach you all of the key elements necessary for you to successfully transition to a BA CityFlyer flight deck.
“During your training in Jerez, your progress will be mentored throughout the course by the BA CityFlyer Liaison Pilot. As the final phase of this course, students will undergo an Embraer Type Rating course paid by the airline.
“Selection for this cohort will follow the same format and battery of tests as in previous FTEJerez schemes. We are looking for up to six mentored pilots who will be offered positions on courses commencing training at Jerez on the 17th of November 2017. This scheme is run on an annual basis.”
