Skyborne Airline Academy has selected Etihad Aviation Training to conduct the third phase of its IndiGo Cadet Pilot Programme, delivering combined Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) and DGCA approved Type Rating training on the Airbus A320.
The ten-week training phase, delivered by Etihad Aviation Training in Abu Dhabi, UAE, will prepare cadets to operate multi-crew jet aircraft, developing their competencies, decision making and communication skills, before familiarising themselves with the specifics of the A320 aircraft. It is the final stage of the 18-month IndiGo Cadet Pilot Progamme, with all training delivered or overseen by Skyborne.

In January 2019, Skyborne announced its partnership with IndiGo to train up to 100 pilots a year for five years as part of the IndiGo Cadet Pilot Programme.
Skyborne has also selected Asia Pacific Flight Training Academy Limited (APFTAL) India to conduct the US FAA to India DGCA Flight Licence Conversion (FLC) part of its IndiGo Cadet Pilot Programme.
Taking between four and six weeks to complete, this phase provides cadets with India airspace familiarisation training and a formal DGCA flight training and tests curriculum in a Garmin G1000 equipped DA42 aircraft. Cadets will be trained at APFTAL’s facility in Hyderabad where on-site accommodation is provided.
