Skyborne Airline Academy has celebrated five years of providing flight training for cadets destined to fly for Indian airline IndiGo.
Training for the 17-month programme is conducted from Skyborne’s Vero Beach facility in Florida, USA. Rina Basu, Skyborne Regional Director, APAC, says: “I’m extremely proud of each intake of our IndiGo Cadets who have achieved their US FAA and Indian DGCA dual licences. Our program provides expert instructors and state-of-the-art facilities at our base in Vero Beach, Florida.”
The training course sees cadets work toward their US FAA 141 Commercial Pilots License, instrument rating and multi-engine rating. Upon completion, cadets then undertake a DCGA licence conversion in India.
Rina continued, “Working with IndiGo since 2019 has been very rewarding, and we are looking forward to continuing the legacy of the IndiGo Cadet Pilot Program with Skyborne over the next five years.”
