At L3Harris Airline Academy, cadets are not only learning to fly, they’re training to become commercial airline pilots from day one. Cadets that graduate our rigorous training programmes are considered some of the best pilots in the industry thanks to the quality of tuition and training they receive.

L3Harris’ Theoretical Knowledge and Flight Instructors have thousands of hours combined experience in the aviation industry and are passionate about sharing this with the next generation of aviators.

We offer world-class training from our sites across the globe including the state-of-the-art London Training Centre (LTC) near Gatwick airport. The LTC, which opened last year, provides the leading training environment with modern classrooms and facilities alongside a suite of the latest simulators, which are also manufactured onsite.

ATPL Training

L3Harris take aspiring pilots with little or no flight experience and train them to become commercial pilots.

Integrated ATPL (Air Transport Pilot Licence) training is often the most direct route to the flight deck taking approximately 74 weeks. Integrated ATPL training includes 6 months Theoretical Knowledge (also known as Ground School), Foundation Flight training and Commercial Flight training.

You can also combine Integrated ATPL pilot training with an industry recognised BSc (hons) degree with the University of Central Lancashire.

For those who prefer a more flexible approach to learning, Modular ATPL training might be the preferred route. Modular covers the same syllabus, but training is broken down and studied one phase at a time. You also pay-as-you-train allowing you to manage your finances throughout the process.

Our ATPL programmes are regulated by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) or European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and are recognised by major airlines across the globe.
