Tayside Aviation and CATS have launched a new ATPL study centre. The companies say that the new centre is aimed at harmonising the modular route to becoming an airline pilot.
The partnership was officially launched with an open day held at the new training centre at Dundee Airport on 23 February.
Jim Watt, Managing Director for Tayside Aviation said, “This centre allows students to have continuity of training, allowing ongoing coaching and guidance throughout the whole process of getting that job with an airline. We are now placing pilots with airlines that have completed the ATPLs via CATS and we feel this is the time to set up the centre. The study centre overlooks the airport apron and classes can be pleasantly interrupted to see live airport operations as they happen. For Tayside, CATS is the ideal partner as the product is perfect for today’s students using iPad study material that provides complete portability of studying, wherever you are”.
A statement from Tayside Aviation said the open day was well-attended by students and potential students, who were able to look over the aircraft and try out Tayside Aviation state of the art simulator.
