UK-based Titan Airways is taking strides towards further growth and evolution with a new recruitment initiative in partnership with Leading Edge Aviation.
This strategic move will see Titan Airways recruiting graduate pilots from Leading Edge’s ATO to join their airline, with the commencement of the program starting in early 2024.
Captain David Cox, Director of Flight Operations at Titan Airways, spoke about the new partnership with enthusiasm, “We are delighted to join forces with Leading Edge Aviation for this exciting programme. Their high training standards, exceptional graduates, and shared values align with our own, reinforcing the strong, family-like culture we’ve cultivated at Titan Airways over our 35-year history as the UK’s airline of choice.”
The graduate pilots selected for the program will be offered a clearly defined career progression path. They will start as First Officers on an A320, transitioning to A330 flying from their third year of employment. This pathway will provide the pilots with a range of flying experiences across Titan Airways’ client base.
“We are dedicated to providing newly qualified pilots with an opportunity to swiftly build their careers, immersing them in diverse flying experiences,” Captain Cox further explained. “We seek pilots who demonstrate comprehensive capabilities in their flying abilities, strong interpersonal skills, and a real sense of professionalism.”
Over the upcoming weeks, Titan Airways and Leading Edge Aviation will work closely together to identify potential candidates and shape the future of the industry.
Andy McFarlane, CEO of Leading Edge, expressed his excitement about the partnership, “We relish the opportunity to collaborate with Titan Airways in selecting Leading Edge graduates for this significant opportunity. Our ‘Whole Pilot Approach’ focuses on producing pilots equipped with the wide range of skills needed by Titan Airways, who cater to diverse aviation needs globally. This exciting partnership opens up a promising career in aviation for our graduates.”
Leading Edge Aviation students benefit from using state-of-the-art A320 simulators, which provide a solid foundation for their future careers.
This collaboration marks a significant step forward in the aviation industry’s continued resurgence and opens a new chapter for both Titan Airways and Leading Edge Aviation. It will be interesting to observe how this partnership impacts the industry and contributes to the development of the next generation of pilots.
