A new television series from ITV will follow easyJet’s rookie pilots as they go through flight training and then start working for the airline.
easyJet: Inside The Cockpit is on Monday nights at 9pm on ITV. There will be three episodes of 60-minutes each. It’s also available online here.
It was filmed with help from training provider CTC Aviation (now L3 Airline Academy) and joined the pilots at every stage of their intensive course – from the moment they are accepted onto an airline pilot career programme, to their first solo flight, first passenger flight following the ups and downs of mastering take-off and landing.
The series also looks at easyJet’s efforts to increase the number of female pilots. easyJet has set ambitious targets which, through a variety of initiatives, aims to double the number of new female pilot recruits over the next two years.
