Cambridge-based VA Airline Training has been by approved by the UK CAA to deliver Airbus A320 type rating training.
VA specialises in the provision of airline multi-pilot training aircraft courses using both B737 and A320 simulators. The company pioneered the latest-generation EASA Airline Pilot Standards Multi-Crew Co-operation (APS MCC) courses in the UK on the B737 and was the first training provider globally to offer APS MCC training for the A320.
VA managing director Anthony Petteford said, “Expansion of our services into aircraft type rating training is an important and exciting step in our overall strategic investment plan to offer complete airline pilot training course solutions to our customers – airlines and individual retail customers alike.
“For some time now, there has been a growing need in the market for an independent, innovative and customer-centric training company to offer complete professional pilot training solutions for both experienced and ab initio pilots.
“VA is delighted to have made yet another big step towards meeting that need against a background of an unprecedented pilot shortage.”
