Ryanair’s latest Wings ceremony – where newly graduated pilots are recognised at the airline’s Dublin HQ – consisted entirely of cadet pilots who had successfully completed the Ryanair Mentored Programme with Cambridge-based VA Airline Training.
“It’s tremendously rewarding to see dedicated and hard-working cadets finally begin their airline careers,” said Kai D Leifert, Managing Director of VA Airline Training.
“The Ryanair Mentored Programme is an ideal way for aspiring airline pilots to fulfil their ambition, so we are proud to be Ryanair’s UK-based partner.”
The Ryanair Mentored Programme is run with six selected Aprooved Training Organisations across Europe, of which VA is one.
Applicants who are accepted onto the programme will join the Ryanair Mentored APS MCC course, as preparation for the Type Rating assessment. Ryanair procedures, safety culture and operational philosophy are embedded into the course and taught from day one.
