Seven women made the top 10 in the qualifying examinations of the recently concluded Civil Aviation Officer Candidate Scholarship Programme, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines has revealed.
The top ten are: Bettina Collantes with a score of 74, Rochelle Ann Labina of Cordova, Cebu (73); Cathy Beniga Venzon of General Santos City, Mayneth Vince Oftana, Terrence Jan Maguddayao of Biñan, Laguna, and Royce Formaliza (71); Mitchelle Mumar (70), Janiz Suyko, Mel Anthony Vega and Alan Valiente (69), according to a report by Interaksyon.com.
Of the 1,078 examinees, 158 passed the competitive examination with the cut-off score of 55 and above.
Two CAOCSP will be held each year with a total budget of P47,993,914.92. The second examination this year will be in December at all CAAP testing centres.
The programme per officer candidate costs P399,949.29.
The CAOCSP total cost for 60 officer candidates totals P23,996,957.46.
The CAOCSP programme was established by the aviation authority to address the needs and ensure adequacy of aviation professionals, qualified and appropriately trained to perform the technical functions of the CAAP.
